Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital Fund
The Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital features a leading-edge pediatric emergency room, a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), inpatient rooms, and outpatient diagnostics and surgeries. More than 75% of the children and families that come to Baptist Children’s Hospital receive Medicaid, TennCare or charity care.
Gifts to the hospital are directed to care and programs designed to ease a child’s anxiety and enhance his or her hospital stay. Most recently, pediatric neurosurgery was introduced as an additional service for our small patients and was funded by a grant from the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation. Donations also support the maintenance and care of the popular and beautiful aquarium in the pediatric emergency department waiting room, as well as helping with the physical needs of our pediatric patients with limited means.
